Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, plans, and quality standards.
- Liaise effectively with project managers, sub-contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project progression.
- Implement and monitor strict health, safety, and environmental protocols on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation.
- Manage and supervise site personnel, ensuring efficient resource allocation and productivity.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project milestones and resource requirements.
Requirements
Preferred Competencies
- Demonstrated experience with project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Exposure to various contract types (e.g., FIDIC, JBCC).
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project budgets.
