Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the production facility, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and all relevant legislation.
  • Manage stock reconciliation processes, utilizing SAWIS and DAFF systems for accurate reporting.
  • Procure dry goods and materials, negotiating favorable pricing and managing supplier relationships.
  • Schedule bottling line operations to meet production targets and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure all label and packaging materials comply with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all production activities, utilizing software such as Navision or Dynamics NAV.
  • Collaborate with the winemaking team to facilitate efficient production workflows.
  • Manage wine export administration, ensuring compliance with customs and excise regulations.
  • Assist with the management of wine logistics from grape reception to bottling and dispatch.
  • Utilize Bartender software for accurate and efficient label printing.
  • Support internal teams with data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Production Administrator within the wine industry (minimum 3 years).
  • Comprehensive understanding of South African wine industry regulations, including SAWIS and DAFF compliance.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems such as Navision or Dynamics NAV.
  • Strong knowledge of wine production processes and supply chain management.
  • Experience with stock reconciliation and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Matric/Grade 12, tertiary qualification in relevant field advantageous.
