Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting detailed cost analysis, estimation, and tendering for large-scale, intricate construction projects
  • Preparing and managing comprehensive contract documents, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, legal requirements, and allocated budgets
  • Overseeing and managing all financial aspects of projects, including robust cash flow forecasting, budget control, and detailed expenditure tracking
  • Administering complex contractual claims and variations, offering strategic advice and facilitating effective resolution
  • Collaborating effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery and foster strong stakeholder relationships
  • Implementing robust, proactive risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure and ensure project viability
  • Preparing regular, insightful financial reports and forecasts, presenting actionable insights to senior management and key stakeholders

Requirements

Preferred Competencies

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Law, Project Management)
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard QS software (e.g., CCS Candy, BuildSmart)
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and its practical application in cost management
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or prior experience in mentoring junior team members
