Electrical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of renewable energy projects.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project feasibility.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Manage and oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and other professionals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
• Prepare cost estimates and project budgets.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies.

Requirements

• BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in the renewable energy sector (solar PV, wind, or hydro preferred).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and distribution.
• Experience in project management and execution.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within South Africa.
• A passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
